Commentary
Russia has become and is becoming a very strong country in terms of its building military might and strategic and regional alliances. The fact that everyone needs oil and the countries that hug the Middle East not only can be seen as rogue they are also Nuclear-Ready come to mind as worthy adversaries to any thriving Industrial and Economic Power. Countries not new to conflict like Iran and Iraq, Pakistan and India and to a lesser extent Egypt, Northern African States and the Heart land of Oil Saudi Arabia to mention a few. Russia’s main ally in coming times will not be one of these Oil-Rich usual suspects, but that of the rising Economic Powerhouse of China. Interestingly but not surprisingly the EU has to watch Russia, as reported in this article, as they will usher in the Peace in the Middle East that will be initially broken by China and the same Russia.
